Main Register is not something we “sell”.

In our kennel, puppies on Limited and Main Register are the same price.

Because Main is not a more “valuable version” of a puppy — it’s a different level of responsibility.

Every puppy is raised the same way.

The same time, care, and resources go into each of them — regardless of where they will go.

For us, breeding is not about producing more dogs.

It’s about building and developing lines over time.

We are not interested in seeing our kennel name appear in pedigrees where dogs are simply bred without evaluation, without understanding of type, and without any real breeding direction.

That does nothing for the breed, and it does nothing for the work behind these dogs.

At this point, we have invested well over $100,000 into the purchase and import of dogs alone — and that does not include showing, veterinary care, health testing, grooming, infrastructure, transport, time, failed plans, or the enormous risks involved in building a breeding program in Australia.

Breeding is an extremely investment-heavy pursuit.

There is simply no shortcut around that.

People either invest financially — importing dogs themselves, taking on the risks, uncertainty, logistics and years of work required to build bloodlines from scratch — or they invest through time, effort, mentorship, training, showing, sport, and actively developing their dogs before breeding is considered.

In our kennel, we are open to the second path.

But we are not interested in placing breeding rights where there is no willingness to contribute back through work, evaluation, and long-term commitment to the breed.

What matters to us is collaboration.

We are looking for people who share our values and who genuinely care about the long-term development of the breed — not just producing litters.

We want to work with people who:

– are willing to show or prove their dogs in some way (conformation or sport)

– are thoughtful about type and structure

– are building something of their own, not just producing litters

– are prepared to invest time, effort and resources into doing things properly

– are able to think strategically years ahead, not just plan a single litter

– are willing to approach pairing decisions thoughtfully, not opportunistically

– understand that developing competitive red toy poodles in Australia often means looking beyond what is locally available, and being open to imports as part of that journey

Everything we do is aimed at improving the breed, not just maintaining it.

We are very aware of the impact a single imported dog can have when placed without the right direction — including the risk of overloading the local gene pool with the same bloodlines.

Main Register, in our kennel, is always a partnership.

Not a transaction.

We are always open to mentoring and supporting those who genuinely want to do things properly.

If your goal is simply to breed — there are many easier ways to do that.

If your goal is to contribute, to learn, and to develop something meaningful over time — then we are likely to be a good fit.
